Visual Storytelling for Films and Comics is an eight-week short course.
The course studies the ways in which visual narratives successfully communicate stories to audiences. The classes analyse the placement of cameras and the design of compositions within feature films and comic books. Students will learn the language of each art-form in order to transform scripts into captivating scenes. In the process, the course hones the practical drawing skills of visual storytelling.

INSTRUCTOR: Chewie Chan
PROFILE: Chewie is a Storyboard Artist and Comic Book Illustrator. He has worked on Superman Returns, Mad Max: Fury Road, and the academy award winning Happy Feet. As a comic book artist, he has drawn Iron Man, The Phantom, Justice League: Mortal, Buckaroo Banzai, and Cthulhu Tales.
